Death of Franklin Coulter is caused by Bee in his ear
Franklin Pierce Coulter died at his home in Eliza Township on the Jerry Keating farm Wednesday Jan. 13. He was the son of W.J. Coulter and Jane Ann Beeney of English descent and was born in Drury township, Rock Island county, Feb. 25, 1879. He was married to Alma Rose Spitznogle. Besides the widow, he leaves four children, aged nine, six and three years and 18 months old. A brother died near there a year ago. Mr. Coulter had worked for Mr. Keating for 12 years and his brother had worked for him 14 years. Three weeks ago, a bee got in his ear. He suffered terribly and it finally caused his death
The services were conducted at the home Friday at 2 p. m. Rev. Larson of Illinois City was in charage. Burial was in the Reynolds cemetery.
